• Molecular Mass: The secreted recombinant HA1 subunit influenza A H5N1 (A/duck/Laos/3295/2006 (H5N1)) HA comprises 335 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 38 kDa. As a result of glycosylation, the apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 50-55 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
