Recombinant Human EP300 Bromodomain (aa 1091 to 1190) fused with GST tag at N-terminal was expressed in E. coli.
P300 is an important regulator of cell function and serves to integrate a number of key cell signaling pathways. P300 contains intrinsic histone acetylatransferase (HAT) activity and serves as a co-activator for a large number of transcription factors. The bromodomain of P300 specifically recognizes a number of acetylated proteins, including histones and transcription factors. The P300 gene is mutated in Rubinestein-Taybi Syndrome, a rare developmental disorder.
Recombinant GST-tagged protein at 1 mg/ml in 20 mM Tris-HCl pH 8.0, 200 mM NaCl, 1 mM DTT, 20% glycerol.
Recombinant P300 Bromodomain is useful for protein binding and screening experiments examining acetylated protein substrates.
Stable for six months at -80 centigrade from date of receipt. For best results, aliquot and avoid multiple freeze/thaws.
