Recombinant Human TIMP2 Protein, His-tagged
Recombinant human TIMP2, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
TIMP2, also known as metalloproteinase inhibitor 2, belongs to the tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases family. The TIMP family inhibit most MMPs by forming non-covalent binary complex. TIMP2 plays a unique role among TIMP family members owing to its functions to regulate cellular responses to growth factors.
