Recombinant Phleum pratense PHLPI was expressed in E. coli.
Phl p 1 is a recombinant protein with IgE-binding capacity. It was produced by heterologous expression in E. coli, purified by conventional biochemical methods, and lyophilized from phosphate buffer (pH 7.5).
Lyophilized from phosphate buffer (pH 7.5)
When stored at -20 centigrade the quality of the material will be maintained for several years. However, for short periods (max. 3 weeks) the lyophilized product may be kept at room temperature. After reconstitution store at -20 centigrade. Avoid repeated freezing/thawing.
To achieve satisfactory solubilization of at least 95% we strongly recommend to use the following procedure: Suspend the protein to a concentration of 1 mg/ml with distilled water (or equivalent) containing 1-2 mM -mercaptoethanol and support physical suspension by either vortexing or working the suspension through a fine-bore pipet tip. Then incubate the suspension for 2 - 20 h at 4 centigrade with gentle agitation to allow a complete reconstitution of the protein. If reconstituted to 1 mg/ml the concentration of PO4 will be 2 mM. Please, note that the solubility of the protein is strongly reduced in solvents with salt concentration above 20 mM. Salt may be added after reconstitution.
