Fluorescent Cattle—Gives New Hope for Cancer Treatment

Scientists in Korean announced the achievement of their research which used Morphological transformation technology to foster cattle, and it turns out that the milk of these test cattle is full of useful proteins. This study was said to be the first one in the world ever since, having a profound meaning.
The report said that the research team implanted a genetic factor called “transposon” into the fertilized egg of cattle. And cattle fostered like this has a color of green, thus it is called fluorescent cattle. While, after being injected with some certain recombinant protein, mouth and toes of the cattle turn red. The research team claimed that the milk of these cattle has anti-cancer proteins which are wholesome for our human beings. Prediction is that this technology would be used to produce bulk of biopharmaceutical drug. In this technology, genetic factor can be transplanted easily, so it can largely reduce the cost and time.
However, whether milk from these test cattle would be useful for a certain cancer or all is unknown. Maybe, further study about this is still in need.
