AGTRL1 Activated GPCR Internalization Assay Kit
Cat.No. : | Kit-2190 |
Product Overview : | Activated GPCR Internalization cells are engineered to co-an untagged GPCR, Enzyme Acceptor (EA) tagged β-Arrestin, and a ProLink (PK) tag localized to the endosomes. Activation of the GPCR induces β-Arrestin recruitment, followed by internalization of the Receptor/Arrestin-EA complex in PK-tagged endosomes. This forces complementation of the two β-galactosidase enzyme fragments (EA and PK), forming functional enzyme that hydrolyzes substrate to generate a chemiluminescent signal. These cells have been modified to prevent long term propagation and expansion using a proprietary compound that has no apparent effect on assay performance. |

Q&As (10)
Ask a questionAGTRL1, like other GPCRs, possesses a seven-transmembrane helical bundle domain, which accommodates its ligand-binding pocket and interacts with angiotensin II. Additionally, specific amino acid residues in the receptor's binding site determine its selectivity for angiotensin II and related ligands.
AGTRL1 activation influences the secretion of aldosterone, a hormone that regulates sodium and water balance in the kidneys.
Yes, AGTRL1 knockout animal models, such as mice lacking the AGTRL1 gene, have been valuable tools for studying the protein's functions in various physiological processes.
AGTRL1 is widely expressed in various tissues, including the cardiovascular system, brain, kidney, and adrenal glands.
AGTRL1 activates various intracellular signaling pathways, including the phospholipase C (PLC)-inositol trisphosphate (IP3) pathway and mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway.
Yes, AGTRL1 has been implicated in various other physiological processes, such as cell proliferation, cell migration, and angiogenesis.
Some studies have suggested that certain natural compounds, such as flavonoids and polyphenols, might affect AGTRL1 activity, but further investigation is necessary.
AGTRL1's activation by angiotensin II leads to vasoconstriction and increased blood pressure, contributing to hypertension.
There is emerging evidence suggesting that AGTRL1 may be involved in cancer development and progression, particularly in angiogenesis and tumor growth.
AGTRL1 interacts with angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) and angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1R) to modulate blood pressure. ACE converts angiotensin I to angiotensin II, which subsequently binds to AGTRL1 and AT1R, leading to vasoconstriction and increased aldosterone secretion.
