AVPR1B CHO-K1 β-Arrestin GPCR Assay Kit
Cat.No. : | Kit-1122 |
Product Overview : | β-Arrestin GPCR cells are engineered to co-the ProLink (PK) tagged GPCR and the Enzyme Acceptor (EA) tagged β-Arrestin. Activation of the GPCR-PK induces β-Arrestin-EA recruitment, forcing complementation of the two β-galactosidase enzyme fragments (EA and PK). The resulting functional enzyme hydrolyzes substrate to generate a chemiluminescent signal. These cells have been modified to prevent long term propagation and expansion using a proprietary compound that has no apparent effect on assay performance. |

Q&As (6)
Ask a questionThe AVPR1B protein binds to arginine vasopressin and, through its binding to arginine vasopressin, triggers the activation of intracellular signal transduction pathways.
AVPR1B has been implicated in a variety of neuropsychiatric disorders, and it is considered as a potential drug development target. Researchers are exploring the development of drugs that interact with AVPR1B protein for the treatment of related diseases.
AVPR1B protein is associated with a variety of signal transduction pathways, including G protein-coupled receptor signal transduction, phosphatidylinositol signal transduction, protein kinase C signal transduction, etc.
The protein is mainly expressed in the central nervous system, including areas such as the anterior pituitary, hypothalamus, and hippocampus, and is also expressed at low levels in the adrenal gland and other tissues.
The AVPR1B protein is a seven-fold transmembrane receptor protein with an N-terminal external domain and a C-terminal internal domain. The N-terminal external domain contains the site for binding to arginine vasopressin.
The protein is involved in the regulation of stress response by increasing the release of corticotrophin from the anterior pituitary in the central nervous system and regulating the levels of stress hormones, thereby affecting the generation and regulation of stress response.
