cAMP cells are engineered to overnaturally Gi or Gs coupled, wildtype GPCRs and are designed to detect changes in intracellular cAMP levels in response to agonist stimulation of the receptor. These cells have been modified to prevent long term propagation and expansion using a proprietary compound that has no apparent effect on assay performance.
