Cat. No. : MAP3K14-556H
Description : Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 14 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the MAP3K14 gene. This gene encodes mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 14, which is a serine/threonine protein-kinase. This kinase binds to TRAF2 and stimulates NF-kappaB activity. It shares sequence similarity with several other MAPKK kinases. It participates in an NF-kappaB-inducing signalling cascade common to receptors of the tumour-necrosis/nerve-growth factor (TNF/NGF) family and to the interleukin-1 type-I receptor.
Source : Baculovirus infected Sf9 cell.
Application : Useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling.
Purity : >90%.
Formulated In : 25 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 100 mM NaCl, 0.05% Tween-20, 50% glycerol, and 3 mM DTT.
Specific Activity : 20 nM NIK yields 20% conversion of 1 uM [32P]ATP using MBP as substrate. Reaction condition: 10 mM HEPES, pH 7.4, 5 mM MgCl2, 10 μM MnCl2, 1 mM DTT, 3 μM Na-orthovanadate, 1 μM ATP, and MBP as substrate at room temperature for 2 hrs.
