A proteolysis step releases the mature 67 amino acidIGF2 polypeptide. The proIGF2 proteins make up 10-20% of circulating IGF2.Pro-IGF2 proteins are secreted by some tumor cell lines and levels areelevated in non-islet cell tumor hypoglycemia.
