Cat. No. : BMP1-571H
Description : Bone morphogeneticprotein 1 (BMP1), also known as procollagen Cproteinase (PCP), is a zinc proteaseof the astacin family. BMP1/PCP plays a key role in formation ofextracellular matrix (ECM) by converting precursor proteins into their matureand functional forms. The precursor proteins identified as substrates forBMP1/PCP include collagens, biglycan, laminin 5, dentin matrix protein1, andlysyl oxidase. There are six alternatively spliced forms known to be derivedfrom the BMP1 gene, and isoform 1 consisting of residues 1 to 730 wasexpressed.
Source : Mammalian cells
