Cat. No. : Epor-464M
Description : Erythropoietin (Epo)is a 34 kDa glycoprotein hormone in the type I cytokine family and is relatedto thrombopoietin. Its three N glycosylation sites, four alpha helices, and NtoCterminal disulfide bond are conserved across species. Glycosylation of Epo isrequired for biological activities in vivo. Mature mouse Epo shares 95% aminoacid sequence identity with rat Epo and 73%-82% with bovine, canine, equine, feline, human, ovine, and porcine EPO.
Source : Mammalian cells
Form : Lyophilized from a 0.2μm filtered solution in PBS with BSA as a carrier protein.
N-terminalSequence : Ala27
Molecular Weight : 18.6 kDa
Activity : Measuredin a cell proliferation assay using TF1 human erythroleukemic cells. Kitamura,T. et al. (1989) J. Cell Physiol. 140:323. The ED50 for this effectis typically 0.4-2 ng/mL.
Endotoxin Level : <1.0 EUper 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Purity : >90%,by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Reconstitution : Reconstituteat 10 μg/mL in sterile PBS that containing at least 0.1% human or bovine serumalbumin.
Storage : Use a manualdefrost freezer and avoid repeated freezethaw cycles. 12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70°C as supplied.1 month, 2 to 8°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution. 3 months,-20 to -70°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
