Recombinant Human Amyloid Beta(A4) Precursor Protein, GST-tagged and His-tagged

Cat.No. : APP-6866H
Product Overview : A DNA sequence encoding the amino acids ( Asp 672 - Val 713 ) of human APP, corresponding to the Beta-amyloid protein 42, was fused with the N-terminal polyhistidine-tagged GST-tagged tag at the N-terminus. It consists of 278 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 32.3 kDa.

Description : APP is a single-pass type I membrane protein which belongs to the APP family. APP functions as a cell surface receptor and performs physiological functions on the surface of neurons relevant to neurite growth, neuronal adhesion and axonogenesis. It couples to apoptosis-inducing pathways such as those mediated by G(O) and JIP.
Source : E. coli
Species : Human
Tag : GST and His
Predicted N Terminal : Met
Form : Lyophilized from sterile PBS, 10 % glycerol, pH 7.4. Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose and mannitol are added as protectants before lyophilization. Specific concentrations are included in the hardcopy of COA.
Molecular Mass : The recombinant human APP / GST-tagged chimera consists of 278 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 32.3 kDa. It migrates as an approximately 34 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions
Protein length : 278aa
Purity : >80 % as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Stability : Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -70 °C.
Storage : Store it under sterile conditions at -70°C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
