Antigen Description : |
The interleukin-18 receptor 1 (IL18R1), also known as CDw218a (cluster of differentiation w218a), is a cytokine receptor that belongs to the interleukin 1 receptor family, and a single-pass type I membrane protein contining three Ig-ike C2-type domains within the ECD. It specifically binds interleukin 18 (IL18) and is essential for IL18 mediated signal transduction, and it is reported that binding to the agonist leads to the activation of NF-kappa-B. IL-18 receptor was first described in 1989. It induces synthesis and release of IFN-gamma, IL- 8, 4 and 13, TNF-alpha and granulocyte/macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF). It modulates the function of many immunocompetent cells including macrophages, monocytes, lymphocytes and granulocytes. Another feature of IL-18 receptor is its ability to induce apoptosis of many cell types by inducing Fas ligand and receptor, aas well as granzymes. High level of IL18R1 expression is detected in Hodgkins disease cell lines. |

Western blot: This antibody can be used at 1-2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Mouse IL18R1 in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for Mouse IL18R1 is approximately 0.5 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and 1 ng/lane under reducing conditions.Direct ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Mouse IL18R1. The detection limit for Mouse IL18R1 is approximately 0.00245 ng/well. |
Preparation : |
This antibody was obtained from a rabbit immunized with purified, human cell-derived, recombinant Mouse IL18R1 ( rM IL18R1; NP_032391.1; Met 1 - Gly 326) |
Format : |
0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS with 5% trehalose |
Storage : |
This antibody can be stored at 2-8 °C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 to -70 °C. Preservative-Free.Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
