• Cell Line Description: The antibody is cytotoxic for Leu-5 positive cells. The cells require NaP, oxaloacetic acid and bovine insulin in the growth medium.
• Introduction: The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-boxtype 1 and a B-boxtype 2, and a coiled-coil region. The protein localizes to cytoplasmic bodies near the nucleus, but its function is unknown. The gene is located on chromosome 13 within the minimal deletion region for B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Alternative splicing of this gene results in three transcript variants which differ only in the 5 UTR.
