Description : The fatty-acid-binding proteins are a family of carrier proteins for fatty acids and other lipophilic substances such as eicosanoids and retinoids. These proteins are thought to facilitate the transfer of fatty acids between extra- and intracellular membranes. Some family members are also believed to transport lipophilic molecules from outer cell membrane to certain intracellular receptors.
Source : E. coli
Species : Human
Form : Filtered (0.4 μm) and lyophilized from 0.5 mg/ml in 20mM TRIS, 50mM NaCl, pH 7.5.
Purity : >99% as determined by densitometric image analysis
Reconstitution : Add deionized water to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5 mg/mL and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. Product is not sterile! Please filter the product by an appropriate sterile filter before using it in the cell culture.
Quality Control Test : BCA to determine quantity of the protein; SDS PAGE to determine purity of the protein; LAL to determine quantity of endotoxin
