Cat. No.

CDA019

Description

Enolase 2 (gamma, neuronal), also known as ENO2 and neuron-specific enolase (abbreviated NSE), is a human gene. It makes a phosphopyruvate hydratase This gene encodes one of the three enolase isoenzymes found in mammals. This isoenzyme, a homodimer, is found in mature neurons and cells of neuronal origin. A switch from alpha enolase to gamma enolase occurs in neural tissue during development in rats and primates. Human NSE produced in Human CNS having a molecular mass of 45kDa.

Source

Postmortal Human Brain

Format

Purified, Liquid

Purification

>60% pure (SDS-PAGE). Ion-exchange chromatography and gel-filtration.

activity

0.5mg/ml (ELISA)

Buffer

0.1M Tris/HCl, 5mM Mg2 SO4, 0.25M KCl, pH 7.5.

Preservative

0.05% NaN3

Applications

Tested in ELISA and immunoblotting with anti-NSE antibodies. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.

Storage

Store at -20℃. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Warnings

All human source materials have tested negative for HIV 1, HIV 2, HCV antibodies, HBsAg and Syphilis. No test guarantees a product to be non-infectious. Therefore, all material derived from human fluids or tissues should be considered as potentially infectious.
