Glycosyltransferase 25 Family Member 2 (GLT25D2) belongs to the Glycosyltransferase 25 family. GLT25D2 is expressed in brain and skeletal muscle, and it localizes to the Endoplasmic Reticulum lumen. GLT25D2 has a strong β-Galactosyltransferase activity toward various types of Collagen, but it does not have Glucosyltransferase activity. It transfers β-Galactose to Hydroxylysine residues on collagen. |
