HSD17B13 is highly expressed in the liver, but it can also be detected in the ovary, bone marrow, kidney, brain, lung, skeletal muscle, bladder, and testis. HSD17B13 contains an ORF with a length of 900 bp, encoding a protein with a signal peptide sequence and an adh_short domain.
