Description : Tau-316 encodes the microtubule-associated protein tau (MAPT) whose transcript undergoes complex, regulated alternative splicing, giving rise to several mRNA species. Tau-316 transcripts are differentially expressed in the nervous system, depending on stage of neuronal maturation and neuron type. Tau-316 gene mutations have been associated with several neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer"s disease, Pick"s disease, frontotemporal dementia, cortico-basal degeneration and progressive supranuclear palsy.
Source : E. coli
Species : Human
Form : Recombinant protein stored in 50mM Tis-HCl, pH 7.5, 150mM NaCl, 0.25mM DTT, 0.1mM PMSF, 25% glycerol.
Molecular Mass : ~39 kDa (32.9kDa by MW calculation)
Purity : >90% by densitometry
Applications : Kinase Assay, Western Blot
Storage : Store product at –70 centigrade. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Concentration : 0.2 μg/μl
