Description : SWI/SNF related, matrix associated, actin dependent regulator of chromatin, subfamily a, member 4 (SMARCA4), also known as BRG1, is a member of the SWI/SNF family of proteins and is similar to the Brahma protein of Drosophila. Members of this family have helicase and ATPase activities and are thought to regulate transcription of certain genes by altering the chromatin structure around those genes. SMARCA4 contains bromodomains for interaction with other proteins. The bromodomain functions as a "reader" of epigenetic histone marks and regulates chromatin structure and gene expression by linking associated proteins to the recognized acetylated nucleosomal targets.
Source : E. coli
Species : Human
Tag : His&FLAG
Form : 25 mM HEPES pH 7.5, 150 mM NaCl and 5% glycerol.
Bio-activity : It shows binding specificity for acetylated H2BK5, H3K14 and H3K9/14.
Applications : Binding assays, inhibitor screening, and selectivity profiling.
Storage : Recombinant proteins in solution are temperature sensitive and must be stored at -80°C to prevent degradation. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
Concentration : 8.1 mg/ml
