Cat. No. : Ephb4-1729M
Description : Ephrin receptors and their ligands, the ephrins, mediate numerous developmental processes, particularly in the nervous system. Based on their structures and sequence relationships, ephrins are divided into the ephrin-A (EFNA) class, which are anchored to the membrane by a glycosylphosphatidylinositol linkage, and the ephrin-B (EFNB) class, which are transmembrane proteins. The Eph family of receptors are divided into 2 groups based on the similarity of their extracellular domain sequences and their affinities for binding ephrin-A and ephrin-B ligands. Ephrin receptors make up the largest subgroup of the receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) family. The protein encoded by this gene binds to ephrin-B2 and plays an essential role in vascular development.
Molecular Weight : The predicted molecular weight of Recombinant Mouse EphB4 is Mr 85.2 kDa. However, the actual molecular weight as observed by migration on SDS Page is Mr 110 kDa.
Source : Mammalian cells
State Of Matter : Lyophilized.
Purity : >95% by SDS Page and analyzed by silver stain.
Formulation : This recombinant protein was 0.2 µm filtered and lyophilized from modified Dulbecco's phosphate buffered saline (1X PBS) pH 7.2 – 7.3 with no calcium, magnesium, or preservatives.
Endotoxin : <0.1 ng per 1 µg as determined by the LAL method.
Biological Activity : The biological activity of Mouse EphB4 was determined by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized recombinant mouse EphB4 at 2 μg/ml (100 μl/well) can bind recombinant mouse EphrinB2 with a linear range of 0.078-5 ng/ml.
Storage And Stability : This lyophilized protein is stable for six to twelve months when stored desiccated at -20℃ to -70℃. After aseptic reconstitution, this protein may be stored at 2℃ to 8℃ for one month or at -20℃ to -70℃ in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles. See Product Insert for exact lot specific storage instructions.
