• Description: Osteoprotegerin (OPG), also known as osteoclastogenesis inhibitory factor (OCIF) is a cytokine, which can inhibit osteoclast differentiation, activity, and survival. It is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily. OPG may provide a pharmacological tool for osteoporotic and erosive bone disorders.
• Molecular Weight: The predicted molecular weight of Recombinant Mouse OPG is Mr 70.9 kDa. However, the actual molecular weight as observed by migration on SDS Page is Mr 100 kDa.
