Cat. No. : GSTA3-2472H
Description : Glutathione S-transferase A3 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the GSTA3 gene. Cytosolic and membrane-bound forms of glutathione S-transferase are encoded by two distinct supergene families. These enzymes are involved in cellular defense against toxic, carcinogenic, and pharmacologically active electrophilic compounds. At present, eight distinct classes of the soluble cytoplasmic mammalian glutathione S-transferases have been identified: alpha, kappa, mu, omega, pi, sigma, theta and zeta.
Source : E. coli.
Specific Activity : 61 U/mg using spectrophotometric determination of 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene (CDNB) conjugation with reduced glutathione (1 mM) in 100 mM NaPO4 (pH 6.5) at room temperature.
Concentration : 1.0 mg/mL total protein using the Bradford protein assay with BSA as a standard.
Storage Buffer : 50 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 50 mM NaCl, 1 mM DTT, 5 mM EDTA and 50% glycerol.
Purity : ≥95% as assessed by inspection on a Coomassie® Blue-stained SDS-PAGE gel.
Storage : -20˚C; avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
