Description : | Human Des(1-6) Insulin-like Growth Factor-II (Des(1-6)IGF-II) is a 61 amino acid analog of human IGF-II, lacking the first six N-terminal amino acids. This analog of IGF-II binds to the Type 1 and Type 2 IGF receptors with similar affinity to IGF-II. Human Des(1-6)IGF-II exhibits reduced affinity for IGF binding proteins (IGFBPs), which modulate the actions of IGFs. |
