|Product Overview:||Fimbriae 2/3 is isolated from cultures of a PRN- mutant derived from the Bordetella pertussis Welcome strain 28 and consists of a mixture of fimbriae 2 and fimbriae 3.|
|Description:||Fimbriae are extracellular proteins which like FHA participate in the attachment of bacteria to substrates. Based on their reaction to sera, there are two fimbriae serotypes present in B. pertussis, fimbriae 2 (Fim 2) and fimbriae 3 (Fim 3).|
|Form:||Each vial, when reconstituted with 0.25 ml of sterile water, contains 50.0 ug of protein in 0.01 M Tris, 0.15 M NaCl, 0.1% Sucrose at pH 8.0. In order to recover the contents of the vial, the reconstitution solution must contain at least 0.05% TWEEN 20. Handle the product gently, do not vortex.|

|Storage:||This product was packaged aseptically, lyphilized and sealed under vacum. Store at 2-8 centigrade prior to reconstitution and at <65 centigrade following reconstitution. Repeated freezing and thawing or maintaining the produt at 2-8 centigrade for extended periods of time is not recommended.|
