sPLA2 Activity Assay Kit
Cat.No. : | Kit-0699 |
Product Overview : | PLA2 (sPLA2) Assay kit provides an accurate and convenient method for measurement of sPLA2 activity. This assay uses the 1,2-dithio analog of diheptanoyl phosphatidylcholine which serves as a substrate for most PLA2s (for example, bee and cobra venoms, pancreatic, etc.) with the exception of cytosolic PLA2. Upon hydrolysis of the thio ester bond at the sn-2 position by PLA2, free thiols are detected using DTNB (5,5-dithio-bis-(2-nitrobenzoic acid)). |

Ask a questionYes, PLA2 inhibitors have been investigated for their potential in reducing cardiovascular risk, particularly in atherosclerosis.
PLA2 releases arachidonic acid, which serves as a precursor for pro-inflammatory eicosanoids, leading to inflammation.
PLA2 dysfunction is implicated in neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, making it a target for research and potential therapies.
Genetic polymorphisms in PLA2 have been studied for their potential links to disease susceptibility, including inflammatory disorders.
Yes, some drugs inhibit PLA2 activity to manage inflammation, as seen in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.
Customer Reviews (3)
Write a reviewA manufacturer that can deliver the protein promptly and reliably can save researchers time and allow them to proceed with their experiments without unnecessary delays.
An PLA2 protein manufacturer that also offers related reagents such as antibodies or assay kits can streamline the research process.
This support could range from assisting with experimental design to offering advice on optimal protein handling and storage conditions.
