CDKL5

  • Official Full Name

    cyclin-dependent kinase-like 5

  • Overview

This gene is a member of Ser/Thr protein kinase family and encodes a phosphorylated protein with protein kinase activity. Mutations in this gene have been associated with X-linked infantile spasm syndrome (ISSX), also known as X-linked West syndrome, and Rett syndrome (RTT). Alternate transcriptional splice variants have been characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

CDKL5 involved in several pathways and played different roles in them. We selected most pathways CDKL5 participated on our site, such as BDNF signaling pathway, which may be useful for your reference. Also, other proteins which involved in the same pathway with CDKL5 were listed below. Creative BioMart supplied nearly all the proteins listed, you can search them on our site.

CDKL5 has several biochemical functions, for example, ATP binding, Rac GTPase binding, cyclin-dependent protein serine/threonine kinase activity. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by CDKL5 itself. We selected most functions CDKL5 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with CDKL5. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

CDKL5 has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with CDKL5 here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of CDKL5.
