GLUD1
-
Official Full Name
glutamate dehydrogenase 1
-
Overview
Glutamic acid is one of the 20-22 proteinogenic amino acids, and its codons are GAA and GAG. It is a non-essential amino acid. The carboxylate anions and salts of glutamic acid are known as glutamates. In neuroscience, glutamate is an important neurotransmitter that plays a key role in long-term potentiation and is important for learning and memory. -

GLUD1 has several biochemical functions, for example, ADP binding, ATP binding, GTP binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by GLUD1 itself. We selected most functions GLUD1 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with GLUD1. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
