SNF8
-
Official Full Name
SNF8, ESCRT-II complex subunit, homolog (S. cerevisiae)
-
Overview
SNF8, VPS25 (MIM 610907), and VPS36 (MIM 610903) form ESCRT-II (endosomal sorting complex required for transport II), a complex involved in endocytosis of ubiquitinated membrane proteins. SNF8, VPS25, and VPS36 are also associated in a multiprotein complex with RNA polymerase II elongation factor (ELL; MIM 600284) (Slagsvold et al., 2005 -

SNF8 has several biochemical functions, for example, channel regulator activity, protein C-terminus binding, protein N-terminus binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by SNF8 itself. We selected most functions SNF8 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with SNF8. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

SNF8 has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with SNF8 here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of SNF8.
