SPI1

  • Official Full Name

spleen focus forming virus (SFFV) proviral integration oncogene spi1

  • Overview

This gene encodes an ETS-domain transcription factor that activates gene expression during myeloid and B-lymphoid cell;development. The nuclear protein binds to a purine-rich sequence known as the PU-box found near the promoters of;target genes, and regulates their expression in coordination with other transcription factors and cofactors. The;protein can also regulate alternative splicing of target genes. Multiple transcript variants encoding different;isoforms have been found for this gene.

SPI1 has several biochemical functions, for example, NFAT protein binding, RNA binding, RNA polymerase II core promoter proximal region sequence-specific DNA binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by SPI1 itself. We selected most functions SPI1 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with SPI1. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

SPI1 has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with SPI1 here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of SPI1.
