TULP1

  • Official Full Name

    tub

  • Overview

    This gene encodes a member of the tubby-like gene family (TULPs). Members of this family have been identified in plants, vertebrates, and invertebrates and encode proteins of unknown function. TULP proteins share a conserved C-terminal region of approximately 200 amino acid residues. Mutations in this gene may be associated with retinitis pigmentosa.
  • Synonyms

    TULP1; tub; RP14; tubby-related protein 1; TUBL1; Tubby Like Protein 1; Tubby related protein 1 (Tubby like protein 1); Tubby related protein 1; TULP 1; LCA15;

TULP1 has several biochemical functions, for example, actin filament binding, phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate binding, protein binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by TULP1 itself. We selected most functions TULP1 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with TULP1. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
