Recombinant Human Tumor Necrosis Factor (ligand) Superfamily, Member 11,His-tagged

Cat. No.: TNFSF11-349H
Product Overview: Recombinant humanTNFSF11 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli andpurified by using conventional chromatography.
Description: TNFSF11, also knownas RANKL, is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) cytokine familywhich is a ligand for osteoprotegerin and functions as a key factor forosteoclast differentiation and activation. TNFSF11 also has a function in theimmune system, where it is expressed by T helper cells and is thought to beinvolved in dendritic cell maturation. TNFSF11 is important in bonemetabolism. This natural and necessary surface-bound molecule (also known asCD254) found on osteoblasts serves to activate osteoclasts, which are thecells involved in bone resorption.
