Cat. No. : VEGFA-5532H
Description : This gene is amember of the platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF)/vascular endothelialgrowth factor (VEGF) family and encodes a protein that is often found as adisulfide linked homodimer. This protein is a glycosylated mitogen thatspecifically acts on endothelial cells and has various effects.
Source : E. coli
Species : Human
Form : Lyophilized
Purity : > 98% asdetermined by SDS-PAGE analysis and visualised by silver stain.
Molecular Mass : 42 kDa
Endotoxin Level : < 0.1 ng/μg ofVEGF189
Biological Activity : Determined by thestimulation of 3H-thymidine incorporation and cell proliferation by humanumbilical vein endothelial cells for VEGF189. The ED50 is in therange of 1-2 ng/ml.
Reconstitution : Centrifuge vialprior to opening. First add sterile distilled water to the vial to fullysolubilize the protein to a concentration not less than 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Aftercomplete solubilization of the protein, it can be further diluted to otheraqueous solutions.
Storage : Store lyophilizedprotein at -20°C to -80°C and reconstituted protein in working aliquots at-20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
