Description : | MICB is aprotein that in humans is encoded by the MICB gene. This gene encodes aheavily glycosylated protein which is a ligand for the NKG2D type IIreceptor. Binding of the ligand activates the cytolytic response of naturalkiller (NK) cells, CD8 alphabeta T cells, and gammadelta T cells whichexpress the receptor. This protein is stress-induced and is similar to MHCclass I molecules; however, it does not associate with beta-2-microglobulinor bind peptides. |
Source : | E. coli |
Species : | Human |
Form : | Lyophilized from aconcentrated (1 mg/ml) solution containing no additives. |
Purity : | Greaterthan 95.0% as determined by analysis by RP-HPLC, anion-exchange FPLC and byreducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stained gel. |
Endotoxin Level : | Less than0.1 ng/μg (1 EU/μg) of Recombinant Human MICB. |
Biological Activity : | ProSpec'sRecombinant Human MICB is fully biologically active when compared to standards.Measured by its ability to bind MICB antibody in ELISA. |
Reconstitution : | It isrecommended to reconstitute the lyophilized MICB in sterile 18 MΩ-cm H2O notless than 100 μg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueoussolutions. |
storage : | LyophilizedRecombinant Human MICB although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -20°C. Upon reconstitution MICB should be storedat 2-4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -20°C. For long termstorage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Pleaseavoid freeze-thaw cycles. |
