Recombinant Mouse Interleukin 12b

Cat. No.: Il12b-644M
Product Overview: RecombinantMouse Il12b protein was expressed in Spodopterafrugiperda. Met23-Ser335(p40) & Arg23-Ala215 (p35).
Description: Il12b is a heterodimericpleiotropic cytokine made up of a 40 kDa (p40) subunit and a 35 kDa (p35)subunit. Il12b isproduced by macrophages and B lymphocytes and has been shown to have multipleeffects on T cells and Natural Killer (NK) cells. Some of these Il12b activitiesinclude the induction of IFNγ and TNF in resting and activated T and NK cells, the enhancement of cytotoxic activity of resting NK and T cells, the stimulationof resting T cell proliferation in the presence of a comitogen, and theenhancement of NK cell proliferation.
Source: Spodopterafrugiperda,Sf 21 (baculovirus)-derived.
Form: Lyophilizedfrom a 0.2 um filtered solution in PBS with BSA as a carrier protein.
N-terminalSequence: Met23 (p40) &Arg23 (p35)
Activity: Measuredin a cell proliferation assay using PHAactivated mouse splenocytes. The ED50for this effect is typically 0.01-0.1 ng/mL.
Endotoxin Level: <1.0EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method.
SDS-PAGE: 70 kDa,non-reducing conditions.
Purity: >97%,by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Reconstitution: Reconstituteat 100μg/mL in sterile PBS containing at least 0.1% human or bovine serumalbumin.
Storage: Use amanual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freezethaw cycles. 12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70°C as supplied.1 month, 2 to 8°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution. 3months, -20 to -70°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
