Description : FABP9(Fatty acid binding protein 9), also known as PERF15 or T-FABP, is a memberof fatty acid-binding proteins (FABPs) which are a family of small, highlyconserved, cytoplasmic proteins to bind long-chain fatty acids and otherhydrophobic ligands. It is found in midpachytene spermatocytes and roundspermatids, and constitutes part of the perinuclear theca. Functionally,FABP9 is likely to link intracellular membranes, and may signal abnormalsperm formation during spermatogenesis.
