Recombinant Human Interleukin 6 (interferon, beta 2), His-tagged

Cat.No.: IL6-738H
Product Overview: Recombinant IL6 was expressed in E. coli and purifed by conventional chromatography, after refolding of the isolated inclusion bodies in a renaturation buffer. MW: 23.1 kDa.
Description: IL6 is an immunoregulatory lymphokine produced by T-cells in response to antigenic or mitogenic stimulation. It is also a myokine, a cytokine produced from muscle, and is elevated in response to muscle contraction. IL6 acts as both a pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokine. Smooth muscle cells in the tunica media of many blood vessels also produce IL6.
