Recombinant Rat Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor C

Cat. No.: Vegfc-616R
Product Overview: Vegfc (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor-C) is a 125 amino acid recombinant protein that lacks the N-terminal and C-terminal extensions and contains only the middle third VEGF homology domain.
Description: The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the platelet-derived growth factor/vascular endothelial growth factor (PDGF/VEGF) family, is active in angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis and endothelial cell growth and survival, and can also affect the permeability of blood vessels. This secreted protein undergoes a complex proteolytic maturation, generating multiple processed forms that bind and activate VEGFR-3 receptors.
Biological Activity: Activity of Vegfc will be tested by the stimulation of VEGF-R3 phosphorylation in cells transfected with VEGF-R3. The expected ED₅₀ is > 200 ng/ml.
Molecular Weight: 15.0 kDa
Source: E. coli
Species: Rat
Form: Lyophilized without additives.
Appearance: Lyophilized protein
Endotoxin Level: <0.1 ng/μg
Reconstitution: Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in 0.1% acetic acid to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. The solution should be stored at -70°C.
Purity: >90% by SDS-PAGE analyses.
Storage: The lyophilized Vegfc is best-stored at -20°C. Reconstituted Vegfc should be stored in working aliquots at -70°C.
