Product Overview: Recombinant Human Inositol Monophosphatase 1/IMPA1 is produced by our E. coli expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Met1Asp277) of Human IMPA1 fused with a His tag at the Cterminus.
Description: Inositol Monophosphatase 1 (IMPA1) belongs to the inositol monophosphatase family. IMPA1 is responsible for the provision of inositol required for synthesis of phosphatidylinositol and polyphosphoinositides, IMPA1 can use myoinositol1,3diphosphate, myoinositol1,4diphosphate, scylloinositolphosphate, glucose1phosphate, glucose6phosphate, fructose1phosphate, betaglycerophosphate, and 2AMP as substrates. IMPA1 has been implicated as the pharmacological target for lithium action in brain. IMPA1 shows magnesiumdependent phosphatase activity and is inhibited by therapeutic concentrations of lithium. In addition, IMPA1 plays a improtant role in intracellular signal transduction.
