Description : | The adipocytokine resistin which belongs to a family of cysteine-rich C-terminal proteins known as resistin-like molecules (RELM; RELM-alpha/FIZZ 1 and RELM-beta/FIZZ 2) of FIZZ (found in inflammatory zone) are thought to be involved in inflammatory processes. Previous studies in mice showed that resistin impairs glucose tolerance and insulin action. In addition, resistin also inhibits adipogenesis in murine 3T3-L1 cells. Therefore resistin has also been proposed as an adipocyte-secreted factor thought to link obesity and T2DM. |

Q&As (6)
Ask a questionExpression level of RETN is associated with the development of insulin resistance. High levels of RETN can reduce insulin sensitivity, leading to decreased glycemic control, which promotes the development of insulin resistance.
Studies have shown that regulating the expression level of RETN can influence the development and treatment effect of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. For example, certain drugs can improve insulin sensitivity and control blood sugar levels by inhibiting the expression level of RETN.
Diabetes and cardiovascular disease can be predicted and diagnosed by measuring the expression level of RETN. For example, high levels of RETN may indicate a higher risk of disease and more severe disease conditions.
Mutations and expression levels of the RETN gene can be detected to aid in diagnosing disease and assessing prognosis. For example, certain mutations may predict a higher risk and a worse prognosis.
Mutations or abnormal expression of RETN may be associated with a variety of diseases. For example, certain mutations can lead to abnormally elevated levels of their expression, increasing the risk of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, etc.
RETN has some association with other biomarkers. For example, in obesity and cardiovascular disease, the expression level of RETN can be used to assess the prognosis and therapeutic effect of the disease together with biomarkers such as adiponectin and leptin.
Customer Reviews (3)
Write a reviewCatalytic activity of RETN is excellent, no matter what the environment can maintain stable catalytic performance, its reliability is reliable.
The quality of RETN they produce is guaranteed, and we can buy it with confidence.
The stability of RETN is too strong to ignore, and it remains admirably stable after long storage.
