Description : The adipocytokine resistin which belongs to a family of cysteine-rich C-terminal proteins known as resistin-like molecules (RELM; RELM-alpha/FIZZ 1 and RELM-beta/FIZZ 2) of FIZZ (found in inflammatory zone) are thought to be involved in inflammatory processes. Previous studies in mice showed that resistin impairs glucose tolerance and insulin action. In addition, resistin also inhibits adipogenesis in murine 3T3-L1 cells. Therefore resistin has also been proposed as an adipocyte-secreted factor thought to link obesity and T2DM.

Ask a question
How does the expression level of RETN correlate with insulin resistance? 11/03/2022

Expression level of RETN is associated with the development of insulin resistance. High levels of RETN can reduce insulin sensitivity, leading to decreased glycemic control, which promotes the development of insulin resistance.

What is the role of RETN in the treatment of diabetes and cardiovascular disease? 08/13/2022

Studies have shown that regulating the expression level of RETN can influence the development and treatment effect of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. For example, certain drugs can improve insulin sensitivity and control blood sugar levels by inhibiting the expression level of RETN.

How can the expression level of RETN be used for the prediction and diagnosis of diabetes and cardiovascular disease? 05/11/2022

Diabetes and cardiovascular disease can be predicted and diagnosed by measuring the expression level of RETN. For example, high levels of RETN may indicate a higher risk of disease and more severe disease conditions.

How to use mutation or abnormal expression of RETN for disease diagnosis and prognosis assessment? 12/21/2021

Mutations and expression levels of the RETN gene can be detected to aid in diagnosing disease and assessing prognosis. For example, certain mutations may predict a higher risk and a worse prognosis.

What diseases are mutations or abnormal expression of RETN associated with? 04/22/2020

Mutations or abnormal expression of RETN may be associated with a variety of diseases. For example, certain mutations can lead to abnormally elevated levels of their expression, increasing the risk of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, etc.

How does RETN relate to other biomarkers? 05/16/2019

RETN has some association with other biomarkers. For example, in obesity and cardiovascular disease, the expression level of RETN can be used to assess the prognosis and therapeutic effect of the disease together with biomarkers such as adiponectin and leptin.

Catalytic activity of RETN is excellent, no matter what the environment can maintain stable catalytic performance, its reliability is reliable.

    05/27/2020

The quality of RETN they produce is guaranteed, and we can buy it with confidence.

      05/22/2019

The stability of RETN is too strong to ignore, and it remains admirably stable after long storage.
