The hormone regulates the growth and differentiation of cartilaginous growth plate chondrocytes and may also be vasoactive and natriuretic. Recombinant human NPPC protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
