    Product Overview : Recombinant Salmonella typhimurium Uridine phosphorylase produced in E.Coli is a non-glycosylated, polypeptide having a total molecular mass of 163068 Dalton.
    Introduction : Uridine phosphorylase from Salmonella typhimurium (StUP) catalyzes the reversible phosphorolysis of uridine with the formation of ribose-1-phosphate and uracil.
    Source : Escherichia Coli.
    Physical Appearance : Sterile Filtered white lyophilized powder.
    Purity : Greater than 95.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
    Formulation : The UPase was lyophilized from 1 mg/ml solution containing 25 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 0.15 M NaCl.
    Solubility : It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized UPase in sterile 18 MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
    Activity Determination : One unit phosphorylates 1 μM of uridine within 1 min at pH 7.3.
    Enzyme Activity : 30 U/mg protein.
    Stability : Lyophilized UPase although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution UPase should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long-term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
