Description: Murine Macrophage-Derived Chemokine (MDC) is a unique member of the CC chemokine family. Human MDC is highly expressed in macrophages and in monocyte-derived dendritic cells, but not in monocytes, natural killer cells, or several cell lines of epithelial, endothelial or fibroblast origin. This recombinant version is a peptide of 7.8 kDa that consists of 68 amino acid residues.

Purity: > 98% by SDS-Page and HPLC analysis Endotoxin level is less than 0.1ng per ug (1EU/mg) of MDC.
Reconstitution: The MDC should be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0mg/ml. Allow to set at least 30 minutes at 4 ℃, tighten cap and rotate to reconstitute any material on sides of vial. If desired, you can centrifuge at 1000 rpm for 1 minute to concentrate volume in bottom of vial. This solution can be diluted into other buffered solutions containing carrier protein or medium and stored at 4 ℃ for up to one week or at -20 ℃ for future use.
Note: If this material is not to be used for coating or labeling (or other applications requiring carrier free material), the addition of 0.1% BSA to dilution buffers or dilution in sterile culture media is recommended to enhance stability and minimize absorption to vial. Ideally, maintain stock >50ug/ml.
Reactivity: The reactivity of this murine MDC was determined by a chemotaxis assay using human activated lymphocytes. Significant chemotaxis was achieved using a concentration of 10-100ng/ml.
Storage: The powder is stable at room temperature for a few weeks but it is best stored desiccated at -20 ℃. Reconstituted MDC should be stored in working aliquots at -20℃. Avoid Frequent Freeze-Thaw Cycles.
