Source : HEK293
Species : Mouse
Tag : N-hFc
Protein length : Asp268-Ser376
Form : Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4. Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween80 are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Molecular Mass : The recombinant mouse MSTN/Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimeric protein. The reduced monomer consists of 369 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 40.8 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, the apparent molecular mass of rmMSTN/Fc monomer is approximately 45 kDa.
Endotoxin : < 1.0 EU per μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.
Purity : > 92 % as determined by SDS-PAGE
Storage : Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20°C to -80°C. Store it under sterile conditions at -20°C to -80°C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitution : It is recommended that sterile water be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of 0.2 ug/ul. Centrifuge the vial at 4°C before opening to recover the entire contents.

Ask a question
How do MSTN inhibitors work in the context of muscle-related disorders? 03/18/2023

MSTN inhibitors work by blocking the activity of the MSTN protein, thus promoting muscle growth and potentially reversing muscle loss.

Are there any known side effects of using MSTN inhibitors in clinical trials? 02/09/2022

Some potential side effects include joint stiffness, increased risk of fractures, and insulin resistance, which require close monitoring during trials.

How does the overexpression of MSTN affect muscle development? 12/26/2020

Overexpression of MSTN can lead to muscle atrophy and decreased muscle mass.

How do researchers regulate the dosage of MSTN protein therapy to ensure safety and efficacy? 02/07/2020

Researchers carefully monitor the dosage and administration of MSTN protein therapy through preclinical and clinical studies to establish the optimal therapeutic dose.

What are the potential risks associated with MSTN protein therapy? 09/13/2016

Possible risks include unintended effects on other organ systems and potential complications related to excessive muscle growth.
