||Recombinant human ERP44 protein (30-406aa), fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.
||ERP44 is a novel endoplasmic reticulum chaperone involved in thiol-dependent retention of the early secretory pathway, forming mixed disulfides with substrate proteins through its conserved CRFS motif. The proteininhibits the calcium channel activity of ITPR1. This protein may have a role in the control of oxidative protein folding in the endoplasmic reticulum.
