INSRb Functional Assay Kit

Cat.No. : Kit-1606
Product Overview : RTK Functional cell lines are engineered to co-a ProLink (PK) tagged RTK, an Enzyme Acceptor (EA) tagged SH2 domain, and, in some cases, an untagged co-receptor. Activation of the RTK-PK induces receptor dimerization, leading to SH2-EA recruitment, and forcing complementation of the two β-galactosidase enzyme fragments (EA and PK). The resulting functional enzyme hydrolyzes substrate to generate a chemiluminescent signal. These cells have been modified to prevent long term propagation and expansion using a proprietary compound that has no apparent effect on assay performance.

Ask a question
What are the distinctive features in the downstream signaling pathways activated by INSRb compared to other isoforms of the insulin receptor? 08/21/2022

Distinctive features in the downstream signaling pathways activated by INSRb contribute to the complexity of insulin receptor isoform interactions.

What is the primary function of insulin receptor isoform B (INSRb) in cellular processes? 07/03/2022

Insulin receptor isoform B (INSRb) serves a pivotal role in cellular processes, particularly in mediating the effects of insulin.

In which tissues or cell types is insulin receptor isoform B (INSRb) predominantly expressed? 06/05/2022

INSRb is predominantly expressed in certain tissues or cell types, influencing its localized impact on insulin signaling.

What specific roles does INSRb play in glucose metabolism and insulin signaling pathways? 01/07/2020

In glucose metabolism and insulin signaling pathways, INSRb has specific roles distinct from other isoforms, contributing to its functional uniqueness.

Are there known associations between INSRb and specific diseases or metabolic disorders? 10/25/2019

Associations between INSRb and specific diseases or metabolic disorders are areas of ongoing research.

How does INSRb contribute to insulin sensitivity, if at all? 10/04/2018

INSRb is crucial for insulin sensitivity, playing a vital role in maintaining normal insulin responsiveness.

How does INSRb differ from other isoforms of the insulin receptor, particularly isoform A (INSRA)? 02/13/2016

INSRb differs from other isoforms of the insulin receptor, with specific variations in its structure and functions, particularly compared to isoform A (INSRA).
