• Description: Has a chaperone-like activity preventing polyglutamine (polyQ) aggregation of HTT. Protects against HTT polyQ-mediated apoptosis in neuronal cells. Regulator of the N-terminal acetyltransferase NAA10-NAA15 complex. Has been in one study shown to be required for optimal NAA10-NAA15 complex-mediated N-terminal acetylation. However, has been shown in another study to act in vitro as an inhibitor of NAA10-NAA15 complex-mediated N-terminal acetylation.
