Description : | Cxcl5 is a chemokine originallycloned from LPS stimulated mouse fibroblasts. Rat Cxcl5 sharesapproximately 74% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse Cxcl5 and islikely the rat orthologue to mouse Cxcl5. Rat Cxcl5 cDNAencodes a 130 aa residue precursor with a predicted 37 aa residue signalpeptide and a 93 aa residue mature protein. Among human CXC chemokines, rat Cxcl5 is mostclosely related to human GCP2 and ENA78. Rat Cxcl5 alsodiffers from these two human proteins by having an extended carboxyterminus. |
