      Product Overview : The Salbutamol rapid test kit is based on the specific immuno-chemical reactions between antigen and antibody. It relies on the competition between Salbutamol residues in the sample and the Salbutamol immobilized on T line on the membrane for the Salbutamol antibody-dye conjugate. If the drug is presenting in the sample, it will compete with the drug immobilized on T line, to the limited amount of dye-antibody. When a sufficient amount of drug in the sample is presenting, the drug will saturate the antibody. Thus it will show only an invisible T line, indicating a positive result. If there is a negative sample (or the amount of the drug is lower than the minimum detectable concentration), it will generate two visible lines in both the T and C line section.
      Description : Salbutamol is one kind of β-agonist which is used for the treatment of asthma in human and animal. It has been shown that using β-agonist to feed farm animals at high dose can shift the flow of nutrients from adipose tissue toward muscle tissue. Due to the improved lean/fat meat ratio and the enhancing production efficiency, β-agonist is illegally used in livestock production. In recent years, several cases of intoxication have been reported regarding abuse of Salbutamol or other β-agonists.
